Reports reaching us indicate that the new goveronor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel is contemplating on disposing the private jet acquired by proceeding administration of Godwills Akpabio.
Governor Udom who seems not to be finding the state 's ownership of the private jet a worthwhile investment is said to be looking for buyers so that the state will be relieved of the burden of fueling and maintaining it.
Since Governor Emmanuel was inaugurated on May 29, 2015 he is said to prefer travelling by chartered helicopter which he considers less ostentatious.
The slash in Federal Allocation and high cost of aviation fuel are other reasons Governor Emmanuel is taking this step.
