The Theatre Arts graduate of the University of Lagos and boss lady of MAG DIVAS, our sources further divulged is very happy to be an expectant mother again, especially as her son, Juwon clocked five years old few weeks back.
"Pregnancy really suits her because she is even prettier than she used to be and she is really very proud of being an expectant mum again" our source revealed.
The Edo-State born mother of two will, according to our source be having her baby in the United States of America. This is wishing the talented actress and mother of two safest delivery.
Gov. Ambode’s 2nd wife, love child celebrate birthday in grand style
Not many will believe this, but information at our disposal and investigations conducted have confirmed that the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode is a proud husband and father to another family unknown to the public.
We learnt Ambode is ‘happily married’ to one Titilayo Yombo-Ambode (nee Oyefeso) who hail from Iperu-Remo axis of Ijebu, Ogun State. Titilayo is the 21st child of her family of 27; she is a graduate of Marketing from the Lagos State University and shuttles between Canada and Lagos, Nigeria.
Ambode, an accountant born and bred in Epe, Lagos, though currently showcasing Dame Patience Bolanle as the official first lady, we reliably learnt that Mr. Ambode is not ready to deny his affair with Titi who already has a teenage boy for him alongside a younger daughter.
Bolanle, a Physics graduate of Lagos State University who hails from Epe met the new Lagos governor about 24years ago while he was working at Badagry Local Government Council as an accountant. The middle-aged couple had a wonderful experience, career wise.
Bolanle has Masters Degree from the Lagos State University in 1994, and sits atop BrandSmiths Consulting Ltd, Rehoboth Chops and Confectioneries Ltd, among others.
According to Titilayo’s family member who should know better, Ambode got traditionally married to Titi some 18 years ago when his first marriage to Bolanle (now first lady) couldn’t produce a child 3 years in marriage and the family pressure was so much on the accountant turned politician.
We learnt Ambode’s mother, Mrs. Christiana Ambode was the arrowhead of the plan to marry Titi.
The unholy union we learnt got the ‘blessing’ of Ambode’s legal wife, Bolanle who was spiritually cajoled to believe getting a woman to bear her man a kid will help her fortune to make babies for herself.
The first product of the Ambode and Titilayo’s union is a young teenage boy named Opeoluwa, investigations conducted revealed that the young boy is being kept out of public glare as his friends are screened. Today Opeoluwa now have a younger sister named Tobilola.
Though, 2 years ago, it was said that the governor brought smile to the face of Bolanle when they had twins, a boy and a girl through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in the United States.
IVF is the process by which eggs are removed from woman’s body ovaries and mixed with sperm in a laboratory culture dish. Fertilisation takes place in this dish, "in vitro", which means "in glass".
Last weekend, Titilayo popularly addressed by friends as ‘Aya Govnor’ meaning wife of the governor turned 40 and a classy, private but luxurious birthday bash was thrown for the light-skinned beau inside an event centre tucked inside Ogudu GRA, Ogudu.
The birthday bash was inside the Recreation Centre’s Hall of Ogudu GRA and it was under tight security as neither journalist nor photographer was allowed entrance, even guest were denied privilege of taking snapshots within the hall premises.
Attempt by OurExclusive’s correspondent in Lagos to take a shot met embarrassment, humiliation and intimidation as his camera was seized for close to 2 hours before it was later released.
We later got exclusively a picture of the wife, Titilayo who loves to flaunt her husband’s name, Ambode and the son, Opeoluwa who also added a year same day with his mum.
It is worth of note that Ogudu GRA was surrounded by not less than 50 armed security men comprising of Police, Mobile Police, SSS and private security personnel on the order of the new Lagos citizen. The biggest guest at the event is the governor’s mother, Mrs. Christiana Ambode, who described the birthday girl as ‘a woman more than a wife to the Ambode family’.
Notable big boys from the popular Oyefeso family also trooped out to support their own.
However, the governor’s Chief Secretary, Haruna Habib seems not to know the terrain he’s stepping into as the former Daily Independent editor threw caution to the wind threatening fire and brimstones should we go ahead with the story.

Jega completed his five-year tenure on Tuesday, having been appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2010.
Prof. Jega, while speaking at the handing over ceremony, was full of appreciation to God and the country for the opportunity to serve.
He said: "We feel great.
"We thank God Almighty for the opportunity to serve the country.
"The future is bright for the commission and the country."
The Secretary to INEC, Augusta Ogakwu, confirmed to newsmen that Jega at the indoor ceremony handed over to Wali pending the appointment of a new chairman by Buhari.
Ogakwu said: "We believe we will soon hear what will happen next from the President.
"Jega said in whatever we have achieved, we should keep it up and do more, adding that there are still a lot to be done."
Meanwhile, the erstwhile chairman is leaving office alongside six other National Commissioners whose tenures have also expired.
Interestingly, Wali will also be leaving office on August 11, 2015.

Nigerian Politicians Are Too Corrupt And Insane – Richard Branson
International businessman with billions of dollars to his name, Richard Branson, has lambasted the crop of leaders we have in Nigeria for their high level greed which, according to him, is killing big brands wishing to do business with the government of the country, for the growth of Nigeria’s economy.
Below is the revelations by Mr. Branson on his experience in Nigeria…
The chairman of Virgin Atlantic said: "…we have virgin’s ill-fated footsteps by setting up a new airline in Africa in conjunction with Nigerian government…the details of the doomed attempts to crack the Nigerian market in the 2000s is better imagined…we put …together a very good airline-the first airline in West Africa that was ever IOSA/IATA operational safety audit accredited but unfortunately it got tied down to the politics of the country…we led the airlines for 11 years…
"We fought daily battle against government agents who wanted to daily make fortune from us, politicians who saw the government 49% as a meal to seek for all kinds of favour…watchdogs (regulatory body) that didn’t know what to do and persistently asking for bribes at any point…Nigeria people are generally nice but the politicians are very insane…that may be irony because the people make up the politicians…
"But those politicians are selfish…we did make N3billion for the federal government of Nigeria during the joint venture…realising that the government didn’t bring nothing to the table/partnership except dubious debts by the previous carrier, Nigeria Airways…The joint venture should have been the biggest African carrier by now if the partnership was allowed to grow, but the politicians KILLED it…Nigeria is a country we SHALL NEVER consider to doing business again.."

Same Sex Marriage: Two Gay Men Both Over 80 Just Got Hooked
The U.S. Supreme Court legalized gay marriage Friday morning in a 5-4 decision, and within hours couples across the country were being issued marriage licenses.
The landmark ruling, delivered just in time for Pride weekend festivities in San Francisco and New York City, says that the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees gays and lesbians must have the same right to marry as heterosexuals.
Despite the new law of the land however, some are still refusing to grant marriage licenses, including Governor Bobby Jindal who said that the state of Louisiana will not recognize gay marriage at this time.
Jack Evans, 85, and George Harris, 82, were one of the many couples that go married after 54 years of being together.
I receive knocks each time I make love to my wife, Says worried husband....
The story seems like something from a horror movie. May God watch over us, Amen.
A middle-aged woman, Sophia Arapogun, has prayed an Agege customary court to dissolve her 11-year-old marriage because her husband, Patrick, abandoned her for two years.
Mrs Arapogun, who lives with her husband and his six children from his previous marriage, said he never asked her how she fed.
"My husband buys foodstuffs for his children and asks them to keep them in their room. He never asked what I needed at a particular moment and we lived together," she said.
The petitioner said her husband came home at a time to sprinkle something that looked like blood all over the house, adding that she worked as a clerical officer in her husband’s hospital.
She said: "I used to package melon to sell in neighbouring markets but since my husband didn’t like the idea, he employed me in his hospital. There was a day I took N300 to take passport photograph, he shouted at me in the presence of his children and I felt humiliated. I was more shocked when he made sure I refunded the money."
She is seeking an accommodation from him as compensation if her petition is granted.
Patrick said he married her because he heard a pathetic story about her, adding: "I asked if she had any evil spirit or medical problems which didn’t make her conceive during her two previous marriages but she said no; then I married her."
The respondent, a doctor, said after their marriage, he discovered that three minutes after making love to her, he got a knock on his head.
"Not only did I get a knock, whenever I had the intention of sleeping with her, I would discover rashes on my manhood or my manhood would be twisted. At times, I would not get erection or my sperm ceases. Since then, I became afraid of everything," Arapogun said.
He said his hospital crumbled after his wife began to work with him, adding that she stole money on several occasions.
"When we lived together, there were times my wife left the bedroom and returned in the morning without any explanation. Our union is bad omen. I have suffered from swollen legs, slight stroke and it was when I realised my wife defecates in the bucket I used to bathe that I decided to leave with my children because I was not ready to die young and I don’t know what was going to happen next," he said. The couple has no issue.
President of the court, Pa Adekunle Williams, ordered the petitioner to maintain the peace and adjourned the matter till July 13 for further hearing.
Kwara Gov., Abdulfatah Ahmed Pays Bukola Saraki N100 Million Monthly "Pocket Money" – Insiders Alleges
Information filtering out of Kwara State, involving the Governor of the State, Abdul Fatah Ahmed and the newly elected Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, that civil servants in the state are groaning and living under severe hardship over unpaid salaries which is getting to it’s third month.
We learnt the workers would not have been complaining as the economic downturn affects almost all the States of the Federation, but a recent revelation that Bukola Saraki who handed over the reign of Kwara State government to Gov Fatah collects the sum of 100 million naira as upkeep allowance on a monthly basis from the state govrenment is not going down well with the civil servants.
The source informed us that since governor Abdulfatah Ahmed took over power from Bukola Saraki in 2011, the incumbent governor has been paying Saraki the sum of 100 million naira on a monthly basis from the State’s account.
"That is the situation we have found ourselves in Kwara State. Gov. Abdulfatah pays Bukola Saraki 100 million naira every month as pocket money, while civil servants are not being paid salaries. Saraki claims he is using the money to oil his political machinery in the state. Sometimes ago, Gov. Ahmed and his wife had to fly to London to meet Bukola Saraki’s wife, Toyin to beg her when Toyin said that she was angry about the way Gov. Ahmed’s wife was treating her. We are trapped in Kwara and nobody can say anything". Our source in Ilorin disclosed.
However, we further learnt that at the height of Bukola Saraki’s campaign for the Senate President’s seat in the National Assembly, Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed practically emptied the Kwara State’s treasury, took it to Abuja to lobby senators to vote Saraki as Senate President.
"Senator Dino Melaye was coordinating the distribution of thousands of dollars to the Senators then. We know the money came from Gov. Abdulfatai Ahmed of Kwara State". A source in the National Assembly told us.
However, our source contacted the spokesperson of Kwara State governor, Femi Akorede to confirm the authenticity of this story, but he denied the allegation saying "the story is illogical and there is no iota of truth in it. It is not possible for a State that is collecting only 3.2 Billion naira allocation from the Federal Government be paying 100 million naira to Bukola Saraki!. Besides Bukola Saraki is a successful businessman that has various business organisations to generate money, so he doesn’t need to rely on Kwara State as a source of generating funds to oil his political structure in Kwara State".

Why reps exchanged blows during plenary – Daura
The All Progressives Congress member in the House of Representatives, Nasiru Sani Zangon Daura, representing Zango/Baure Federal Constituency of Katsina State, has issued a press statement on the physical battle that ensued in the Green Chamber during plenary on Thursday.
At the plenary, the tension and divided interest among the legislators led to a brawl between the two factions in the chamber.
The statement reads, "We are here on behalf of our colleagues of the APC House Caucus to explain to you the unfortunate occurrence during today’s plenary session.
"The action that occurred inside the chamber of the House of Representatives was in reaction to the illegal and unconstitutional action taken by Speaker Yakubu Dogara of the House of Representatives, an action in his usual tradition of total disregard to the wishes of the majority members of the APC Caucus, the Party itself and the spirit of the Party.
"We are aware of a letter sent by our Party, APC, dated 23rd June 2015, conveying the approval of the party’s principal officers vis a vis the APC House Leader, the APC Chief Whip, the APC Deputy House Leader and the APC Deputy Chief Whip for the House of Representatives.

Senator Ibn Na’Allah representing Kebbi South Federal Constituency was also nominated as Deputy Majority Leader with Senator Olusola Adeyeye representing Osun Central Constituency of Osun State as Chief Whip.

Addressing the court in death sentencing, he said, "I would like to now apologize to the victims and to the survivors," he said. "I am sorry for the lives I have taken, for the suffering, the damage that I have done."

APC governors to Saraki: respect party supremacy
All Progressives Congress (APC) governors yesterday called on the party’s senators and House of Representatives members to stick with the positions of the party in picking their leaders.
There has been tension in the Senate over the remaining key leadership positions after the controversial June 9 elections.
The party is backing Senator Ahmad Lawan (North-East) for Senate Leader, Senator George Akume (North-Central) for Deputy Majority Leader, Senator Olusola Adeyeye (South-West), Chief Whip and Senator Abu Ibrahim (North-West), Deputy Chief Whip.
But members of the Like Minds, the group supporting Senator Bukola Saraki, are opposed to the party’s position.
Sixteen of the 22 APC governors attended a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on the issue, among others, at the State House, Abuja between Tuesday night and early yesterday.
Speaking with State House correspondents at the end of the meeting, they insisted on the supremacy of the party’s position.
Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole said: "Basically, what we are saying is that the senators should adopt the position of the party. We were all elected on the platform of the party. We are not just a collection of individuals. We are a political party and when the party has spoken, we must listen.
"Otherwise, if it was a game of individuals, like golf, then individuals can go their ways. I think it is very clear at this point that the party has the responsibility to keep the system going.
"So we as progressive governors, we have listened to the President and we have discussed extensively and we are clear that the party’s position should be supported by the senators. This is the way it should be and we should start on a note of working closely."
Oshiomhole added: "We as governors, we listen to the party and we expect our senators to also listen to the party.
"We are going to call them and tell them this is it and explain our reasons. We can’t continue to allow individuals to…it is about party supremacy."
APC Governors’ Forum Chairman Rochas Okorocha said: "We are worried by what is happening at the National Assembly. We felt we should rub minds with Mr. President and also to commend him on the steps he has taken so far to address the issue of the economy of the nation, which is literally in shambles.
According to him, the meeting with the President was more reassuring and showed that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
He said: "But with all these achievements we are making, progress we are making, we are worried by the pockets of disagreements going on at the National Assembly and we have resolved that we came from a party and our party’s views should be respected.
"And so we feel that there is room for us to invite our senators and look more into the matter and see how we can all make peace.
"We believe that our party, which we all came from, that everyone should respect our party and for that reason we have decided that we are going to invite our senators and rub minds with them.
"We are saying that there shouldn’t be a winner-takes-all, that we should carry everybody along, and accommodate others as suggested by the party." He stated

Prez Buhari Keeps APC Leaders Guessing Over Cabinet
What happened is indeed pardonable because it is repetition of history written by the ruling incumbent ruling party years back when they were in the opposition using former speaker of House of Representatives as link to overturn the population advantage of the house fed into its favour.
As pardonable as it may appear, the show of discountenance for party supremacy in this dispensation actually started from the newly elected president of the federal republic of Nigeria, General MuhammaduBuhari who has constantly keeping his party leaders at bay over his next move as he prepares to kick start his tenure properly.
This singular acthandcuff APC leaders who are aggrieved that some of the politicians who contested the last general election under the party’s platform have barely within a month of inauguration started biting the hands that fed them.
Until this moment, contrary to public expectations, Buhari seems to be playing his card close to his chest – a sign of his inaugural statement, "I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody". The president has made only two appointments (Mr. Femi Adesina and senior special assistant on media and publicity MalamGarbaShehu. MallamShehu was the director of media and publicity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign organisation) since his inauguration, refusing to release names of his choices to the party.
It was learnt that Buhari has rejected nominations from state governors because he has resolved to singlehandedly appoint people that will form his cabinet. The aides so far announced are his special adviser on media and publicity According to sources around Buhari, the president’s reluctance to kick start the government, is due to the fact that he’s trying to get quality hands in lieu of political appointees who may not move on the same radar with him by the time he began his policy execution. Feelers say Buhari is also looking at balancing geo-political zones, the ethnic and religious creeds.
Okupe’s prediction and the APC by Niran Adedokun
When the Senior Special Assistant, Public Affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr Doyin Okupe, swore that the All Progressives Congress would not last one year, many Nigerians went after him in anger.
Maybe Okupe sowed some seeds that justify what he got, but the medic turned politician saw something that most of us did not pause to consider. In our anger, we condemned the message because of the messenger.
Experienced politician that he is, having been in the top echelons of a national party as far as 24 years back, Okupe must have seen the congregation of politicians from every shade of opinion and interest coming together in a hurry and concluded that at some point, there would, without fail, be a conflict of interests, which could precipitate a conflagration that the APC may be unable to weather through.
Those who were in a hurry to condemn Okupe must be having a rethink now. Reports following the elections of leaders of the National Assembly indicate that combatants in the APC are determined to snuff life out of the in-house opponent without regard to what that may do to the party and a country that is haemorrhaging.
Now, how that surprises anyone still baffles me. If you understand that no idea, principle or person is permanent in the contemplation of the average politician, you will not be miffed to see men, who smiled at each other last night, draw the daggers in the morning.
And this is not just about Nigeria. The flip-flop of politicians in more advanced democracies seems a little else obvious because while Nigeria adorns mortals in messianic garb, institutions are stronger in those countries. Which is why, whether it is a Barack Obama, a George Bush or a Bill Clinton, there are institutions which deal with malfeasance and beat a leader into line.
Here, we rely on human beings to save us from human beings. As a result, only a Muhammadu Buhari is believed to be able to fight corruption, only an Attahiru Jega is able to organise free and fair elections. Now that his tenure is over, we are at a loss about sustaining the credibility that attended the 2015 elections.
Rather than build the Independent National Electoral Commission into a reputable body where anyone can function with limited opportunity for manipulations, we prefer to seek another Jega or his clone. We would rather depend on strong individuals than on strong institutions. But I digress.
Politicians do not have to be nice. They are not clerics, bound by some ecclesiastic charter of charity to which they are eternally committed to. If something suits the purpose of the politician today, he is all for it but everything changes the moment that fancy object outlives its purpose.
For instance, why did President Barack Obama stand so solidly against gay marriage during his campaign in 2008 but made a total turnabout in 2012 with a recent claim that he "evolved" on the issue?
Obama’s volte face is so absolute that his administration held the passage of the anti-gay marriage bill against Nigeria! That is the way of the politician, he is not even sure of his own ways until some exigency presents itself. No matter what they say, ambition drives all politicians. As someone once alluded, only statesmen think about the future, politicians are too engrossed about winning the next election and the game for 2019 has started in earnest.
The attempt to impose leaders on the National Assembly and the move that blindsided those who were bent on imposition is all politics and we must come to terms with the fact that the political field does not have the sanctity of a religious place. In any case, every Nigerian politician of clout is guilty of some measure of imperialism or treachery in their areas of influence, so it would be hard for anyone to cast a first stone.
This is why the current travails of the APC which resulted from the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara as the Senate President and Speaker, House of Representatives, respectively, against the wishes of their party could be fatal to the birthing of the change that Nigerians envisaged when they voted for the APC at the last elections. And when that happens, there would be no one to blame other than the party itself.
What I am saying is that only the APC is able to help us move on from the feeling of uncertainty that has gripped many Nigerians since the emergence of people, not sanctioned by the party as leaders of the National Assembly.
Unfortunately, the APC does not seem be in control of the situation. Although the Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, indicated that the party had no choice but to accept the elections of Saraki and Dogara, the fact that Tuesday’s first caucus meeting of the APC senators nearly resulted in fisticuffs is an indication that all is not yet well with the party.
Those who think they got bloodied by the elections early this month are likely lurking in the corner looking for an opportunity to take their pound. I smell that someone is cooking up plans to serve those who carried the day the cold dish of revenge, some banana peel of sorts.
This is where it gets scary. If anyone in the APC, no matter whose interest they represent, strikes back at Saraki and Dogara for any reason, the APC would be on its way to fulfilling the doom predicted by Okupe. And any disaster on the APC will tell negatively on Nigeria and may put paid to the promise of change that they made. And there would be nobody to blame other than the APC itself and its seeming unpreparedness to govern fairly.
Although there is a dearth of statesmanship on the Nigerian political landscape currently, President Buhari being the only one I see from where I stand, there is an inexhaustible list of politicians in the APC who qualify to be in the hall of statesmen, only if they would bury their personal ambitions and consider the future of the country.
For instance, penultimate weekend, Saturday Punch reported a subtle battle for the soul of the party between Alhaji Abubakar Atiku and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Now, each of these men has considerable following with which they can pull the plug at any time and so, a prompt cessation of this silent war, which has not been refuted by any of the parties, would be important to saving the party and helping it deliver on its promises to Nigeria.
Before Atiku, Tinubu and their supporters push the people off the bridge incurring democratic fatalities, they need to imbibe lessons on the role of kingmakers from American politician and Catholic influencer, James Farley, who orchestrated the electoral success of politicians including Franklin D. Roosevelt without causing dislocations in the American political system.
What we ask of these gladiators is that if only for this one time in their career, they should put the interest of Nigeria first. I worry that unless President Buhari gets the full cooperation of his party, such that some far-reaching reforms can happen in Nigeria within the next four years, the trouble that we thought were over as a result of the peace that followed the 2015 elections will revisit us.
They must consider the interest of millions of Nigerians who have no food to eat, who die from common ailments that most of the world does not talk about again, of hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs sweating under the harsh business conditions in the country, of the power and energy crises and a myriad of other problems that make life feel like hell for Nigerians.

Move materials to Abuja, A’Ibom Tribunal orders INEC
Akwa Ibom State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Wednesday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to move the electoral materials used for the April 11, 2015 governorship election to the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
This is to enable the All Progressives Congress and its candidate in the poll, Umana Umana, to inspect them.
Umana and his party had complained to the tribunal that it was unable to enforce an earlier order granted to them by the tribunal to inspect the materials in Uyo due to security concern.
The Sadiq Umar-led three-man panel tribunal, in its ruling on the application by Umana and the APC, ordered INEC to move the materials to Abuja within 10 days.
The tribunal also directed security agencies to provide adequate protection for the transportation of the electoral materials from Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, to Abuja.
Umana and the APC had filed their petition before the tribunal seeking the nullification of the victory of Governor Udom Emmanuel of the Peoples Democratic Party at the April 11 poll.
Emmanuel, the PDP, the Independent National Electoral Commission, the Akwa Ibom State Resident Electoral Commissioner and the Nigeria Police Force are the five respondents to the petition

Umana and his party had argued that their application for the relocation of election materials from Uyo to Abuja was not novel as it was done by previous governorship election tribunals in the case of Osunbor v. Oshiomhole; Agagu v. Mimiko; Doma v. INEC and most recently in the case of Adeymi v. Maleye.
The tribunal, also on Wednesday, rejected an application by the petitioners seeking an order striking out Udom’s response to the petition for being filed out of time.
Emmanuel’s lawyer, Paul Usoro, had urged the tribunal not to close its eyes to the fact that his client was just few hours late outside the statutory seven days allowed by law to file his response to the petition.
Justice Umar, in a ruling, held that striking out the Emmanuel’s reply would amount to injustice, adding that the tribunal was out to do substantial justice to the petition.
Though the tribunal conceded to the submission of the petitioners’ lawyer, Dayo Akinlaja (SAN), that the Emmanuel filed his reply out of time, but it held the governor could not be shut out since he had shown good cause by filing it even if it was out of the stipulated time.
Justice Umar ruled, "It is clear from paragraph 47 to the 1st schedule and section 145(1)of the Electoral Act 2010 and paragraph 45 (4) of the 1st schedule that all applications must be in writing.
"We are also aware of the content of paragraph 47 that the 1st respondent did not file his response within the seven days period. The facts before us are clear on this.
"Nevertheless, we have equally read Okechukwu v. INEC and it is our position that for substantial justice to be done in this petition is to allow the 1st respondent an extension of time to file and serve his response to the petitioners.
"The aim of the tribunal is to see to it that whether at the end, it can be said that justice was done to the petition. The court of law is bound to do substantial justice."

At the close of day, everybody went home, but Yetunde came back later at night with a master key. Move to impeach Ekweremadu fails
oves by senators elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress to remove Senator Ike Ekweremadu of the Peoples Democratic Party as the Deputy President of the Senate was on Wednesday scuttled.
The President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, thwarted the move.
During plenary on Wednesday, Senator Kabiru Marafa, the spokesman of Unity Forum, the group of senators loyal to Senator Ahmad Lawan, raised a point of order where he observed that the election of Ekweremadu on June 9 as Deputy President of the Senate was in breach of the Senate standing rules.
According to Marafa, the old Senate rule on voting for the emergence of the Senate president states: "Voting shall be conducted by the clerk at-the-table using division list of the Senate with the tellers in attendance. The Clerk of the Senate shall submit result of the division to the Clerk of the National Assembly."
However, in the new Senate rule given to Senators, it was stated: "Voting by secret ballot which shall be concluded by the clerk-at-table using the list of the Senators-elect of the Senate, who shall each be given a ballot paper to cast his vote, with the proposers and seconder as tellers."
Marafa therefore asked Saraki to explain when the rules were amended.
However, Saraki ruled Marafa out of order, citing the Senate rules which states that if a matter on a presiding officers’s election had been decided, there can be no further debate on it again.
Although, Ekweremadu did not belong to the APC majority in the Senate, he capitalized on the absence of most the APC senators at their inauguration to defeat Senator Ali Ndume of APC, who contested for the seat.
Nigerians were of the opinion that Saraki ceded the position of the Deputy President of the Senate to him in order to get the support of the PDP.
The Quadruplets Who Defied Medical Odds In England
Quad a handful! UK medical first as little record breakers Amelia, Sofia, Aston and Roman are all conceived naturally - from FOUR separate eggs
Like all quadruplets, these four babies are a rare delight. But even for quads, Amelia, Sofia, Aston and Roman are incredibly unusual – and possibly unique in the UK.
For not only were the four-month-olds conceived naturally, each came from a different egg.
Only three or four sets of quads are born each year in the UK. They normally occur when one or two fertilised eggs divide in the mother’s womb. This means two or three of the quads are from one egg. They may even be two sets of identical twins.
Experts say they have never heard of a case of non-identical quads being conceived naturally rather than through IVF.
Their parents Katalina Martin and Matthew Davies each have a child from a previous relationship but wanted one more to complete the family.

Erotic film actress, Laura Antonelli is dead
Italian actress, Laura Antonelli, the star of 1970s erotic movies, whose life fell apart after being convicted of drug dealing in the 1990s, died of a heart attack at her home in the seaside town of Ladispoli, near Rome.
Antonelli was 73.
Born Laura Antonaz in Pola, Istria, Italy (now forming part of Croatia), she first appeared in TV adverts and then in popular fotoromanzi (photonovels).
She made her debut on the big screen at the age of 25 in the 1966 film, La sedicenne, but her breakthrough role came in 1971 with an erotic comedy called Il merlo maschio. This was followed by another erotic film, Malizia (1973),which cemented her image as a sex symbol and turned her into an object of desire for a generation of Italian males.
She won the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists Award and the Nastro d’Argento for best actress for her role.
Antonelli made a string of other erotic films in the 1970s, but directors Luchino Visconti and Ettore Scola gave her more dramatic roles in auteur pictures, while retaining her image as a seductress.
A well-publicised love affair with French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo reinforced her status as a leading star.
In the 1980s she starred in a number of Italian comedies such as Grandi magazzini (1986), Rimini Rimini (1987) and Roba da ricchi (1987), alongside comic actors such as Lino Banfi and Diego Abatantuono.
Her career came to a screeching halt in 1991 when she was accused of drug dealing after the police, acting on a tip-off, raided her apartment in Rome and found a small quantity of cocaine.
That same year, Antonelli took part in a sequel to Malizia, titled Malizia 2000, but it bombed at the box office.
She did not appear in any other movie and retired from the public eye.
After a long trial, Antonelli was sentenced to three years in prison but this verdict was later commuted to a form of house arrest.
Her lawyers fought a 10-year battle to prove her innocence and won an appeal in the year 2000.
A lengthy civil action for damages following cosmetic surgery that left her face disfigured, was unsuccessful.

Regina Askia Causes Traffic With her Boutilicious Booty
Regina Askia started gaining public recognition in Nigeria, when she participated in the 1988 edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN). She was highly tipped to win the crown, but lost to the eventual winner, Bianca Ojukwu.
She had earlier been crowned as Miss UNILAG in the same year. Regina had joined UNILAG after she got transfer from the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Cross River State, where she was studying Medicine.
The beautiful lady also made her mark in Nollywood, where she acted in several films.
Later, she relocated to the US, where she is now working as medical personnel.
But despite being out of the showbiz industry in Nigeria, the name Regina Askia has not left the industry.
She has continued to make news headlines in recent years for different reasons and the latest ‘reason’ (especially in the Yoruba translation) is worth making the eyes roll.
Eyes started rolling when Regina posted some of her pictures on her Facebook wall and those who sighted her backside could not but marvel at the beauty she commands.
Some were forced to ask if the ex-beauty queen does not age at all. Her mini-skirt, showing her smooth and straight legs also fuelled the desire of some commentators on the photographs.
GTB Sued N30billion For Unlawfully Freezing Accounts
In a bid to seek legal redress for alleged economic misfortune suffered as a result of their accounts frozen in 15 different banks by means of unjustifiable court order obtained by Guaranty Trust bank Plc, four limited liability companies, Innoson Nigeria Ltd, Innoson Technical and Industrial Company, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company and Innoson Autoparts Manufacturing Company have slammed N30billion lawsuit on the bank.
According to a statement of claim filed before a Federal High Court in Awka, Southeast, Nigeria, by a Lagos lawyer, Professor MacCarthy Mbadugha, the companies said that what led to the current legal hostility started on 1 September, 2014 when Guaranty Trust Bank Plc served on Innoson Nigeria Limited a court order dated 1 September, 2014 with suit number FHC/L/CS/1119/2014 filed before a Federal High Court in Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria, between Guaranty Trust Bank and Innoson Nigeria Limited issued by Justice Okon Abang ordering that pending the hearing and the determination of the substantive suit all commercial banks in Nigeria are restrained from accepting, honouring, or giving effect in any manner whatsoever to any mandate or instruction presented to them by Innoson Company or any of its agents or nominees for withdrawal of any sum of money standing to the credit of any account maintained by the company in all the banks.
In the said order of the court the bank indemnified the company as to any loss that may be incurred in the unlikely event that the application ought not to have been granted.
The company operates Current Accounts in 15 banks of eighteen banks listed in the order.
The basis of the bank’s action against the company was that the company is allegedly indebted to the bank to the sum of N1.5 billion and that rather than the company repay the loan, it diverted same and was in the process of dissipating its assets in order to avoid repaying the loan.
Based on this court order, all the companies accounts were frozen. Consequently, the activities of the companies were grounded as the companies could not pay duties and clearing of imported goods, thereby incurring heavy demurrage.
The halt of production by the companies resulted in loss of business and profit, deterioration of some of its raw materials, as they became unfit for use, staff were rendered redundant whilst they continued to pay salaries, some of the Chinese expatriates left the company for China while some of them were paid $66,000 dollars per month for seven months during their redundancy to avoid heavy cost of searching for expertise of their caliber given their skills.
Their machines also began to deteriorate because machines were not functioning.
The plaintiff companies averred that the action of the bank injured their credibility and presented them as bad debtors.
However, on the 10th of June, 2015, base on an application and titanic legal argument presented by Mbadugha that the order was obtained by the bank by suppression, concealment or failure to disclose material facts before the court to set aside the order, Justice Saliu Saidu set aside the order and as well as struck out the entire suit freezing the accounts of the plaintiffs but before the order was set aside the companies have incurred monumental losses running into billions of naira as enumerated above.
Consequently, the claims of the companies against GTB are as follows:
N20Billion being special damages arising from the bank’s unlawful freezing of the companies accounts in fifteen banks from 1st of September 2014 to 15th of June 2015.
(ii) N5 billion for reputational and injuring the companies.
(iii) N5Billion as general damages and 22 per cent interest on the sum claimed till judgement is delivered and same rate till liquidation of the judgement debt.
Meanwhile, based on an application filed before the court on behalf of the companies, the court has ordered that all court processes should be served on Guaranty Trust bank Plc at its Headquarters at Plot 1669 Oyin Jolayemi street, Victoria island Lagos South West Nigeria.
N25.7bn Fraud: Court frees Francis Atuche
A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja today freed the former Managing Director of defunct Bank PHB, Francis Atuche who is standing trial for allegedly stealing N25.7 billion.
Atuche and his wife, Elizabeth, were standing trial over alleged theft of N25.7 billion belonging to the bank (now Keystone Bank). They are being prosecuted alongside a former Chief Financial Officer of the bank, Ugo Anyanwu.
In September 2014, Atuche denied the theft charge preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The former bank chief had said that he could not engage in theft as a member of Catholic faith.
He also told the court how he grew a mortgage finance company — Pinnacle Investment Ltd — and transformed it into Platinum Bank Plc.
Atuche said the bank had to merge with Habib Bank following the mandatory N25 billion recapitalisation policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria under the former Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo.
According to him, the merger gave birth to Bank PHB which became one of the strongest banks in Nigeria while he was the Chief Executive Officer.

Finally, Buhari relocates to Aso Rock
Three weeks after his May 29 inauguration, President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday evening relocated to the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He joined his wife, Aisha, who had moved in on Thursday.
Before he finally moved in, the President had in the afternoon of Sunday visited the Presidential Villa where he stayed for about 30 minutes.
Those who thought that he had finally relocated to the seat of power were however shocked when Buhari left the premises after spending a few minutes.
He later returned finally in the evening.
It will be recalled that since their inauguration, Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have yet to relocate to the Presidential Villa.
They have been operating from their private residences and the Defence House, Maitama, which is the official residence of the President-elect.
Surprisingly, however, the President’s wife on Thursday relocated to the Presidential Villa at a time when her husband was out of Abuja.
Buhari was at that time on private trips to Kaduna and Daura, his hometown in Katsina State.
Multiple Presidency sources had said that the President would join his wife inside the Presidential Villa upon his return to Abuja after the trip.
However, when Buhari returned to the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday, he retired to his private residence in Aso Drive, from where he had been operating.
But on Sunday afternoon, the President reportedly visited the Presidential Villa, apparently to spend a few minutes with his wife as he prepared to join her.
"The President was here this afternoon (Sunday). He arrived at about 2pm and spent about 30minutes before he left. He later returned in the evening. At last, the President has moved in," a Presidency official said.
It was not clear at press time whether Osinbajo had also moved in.
With his relocation, Buhari is expected to operate from the President’s office for the first time on Monday (today).
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, had at a time told our correspondent that ongoing renovation work was hindering Buhari from moving in.
"As far as the President is concerned, the place (his official residence) is not ready yet. Workers are cleaning and refurbishing the place. Once the exercise is completed, the President will move in," he had said.
He later released photographs of workers of the construction giant, Julius Berger Plc, who were painting the outer walls of the President’s office as proofs of renovation work.
Shehu had also last week Tuesday issued a statement to debunk speculations that Buhari had refused to move into the Presidential Villa since his inauguration because of purported advice from some Senegalese spiritualists.
He explained that "Buhari is a Muslim who believes his fate belongs to God."
He added that "no true believer combines faith in God with reliance on the power of ordinary mortals, who can neither protect themselves, nor protect others from the hands of fate."
He said the purported "spiritual cleansing of the Aso Rock Villa by Senegalese marabouts before President Buhari moves into the Villa" was the figment of the imagination of rumour mongers.
Shehu added that it was ridiculous to attribute Buhari’s delay in moving into the Villa to any advice from fictitious marabouts, insisting that renovation work was largely responsible for the delay.

Good sex impacts couples’ total wellbeing
The way you express your sexuality is shaped by your acquisition of relevant knowledge and also by your individuality and your personal circumstances. Whether you’re newlyweds or in a long time marital relationship, sexually challenged or able-bodied, young or old couples, think of your sexuality as a unique part of who you are. As the saying goes, fine wine and classic cars improve with age, so also let your sexuality and marriage relationship improve as the days go by. There are many "right" ways to experience great sex; today, we shall be looking into how to keep the sexual love life healthy and hot for years to come.
When able-bodied men noticed that their erection is different from what it used to be or is not as hard and does not last as long, coupled with the fact that the experience of ejaculation may not feel as strong as it used to, they are quick to associate virility with youthfulness. But I have found out that this may be due, in part, to just the weakening of the pelvic-floor muscles. Pelvic-floor muscles are responsible for drawing blood to the genitals during sexual activity, affecting erection and orgasm. And all that is needed is just a daily regime of Kegel exercise. The exercise actually fixes the problem up to 100 per cent regardless of age or prevailing circumstances.
Another common occurrence men of all ages notice at one time or the other is the experience of a longer refractory period; this is the time it takes the body to be ready for another erection after the first ejaculation, the period between the first and the next ejaculation. In some cases, the cooling off period may be as long as 12 to 24 hours or more or never. If you’ve climaxed, but you or your wife isn’t ready for the sexual experience to end just yet, the best approach is to focus on meeting your wife’s needs or on activities that don’t require an immediate erection. For example, you don’t need an erection for giving your wife an oral sex or manually stimulating her clitoris or sucking her breast or giving her a heavy foreplay that leaves her panting and wanting more. The magic of this is, it helps you to forget about your present predicament and refocus your attention on some other thing. This will spontaneously give an unexpected strong magical erection.
However, remember that whatever you do, don’t get stressed worrying about your virility. This is a sudden occurrence that comes once in a while and not a sign that you’re losing your touch. And you will likely find that the different sexual activities you engage in without an erection are still very pleasurable for you and your wife. Just be sure to reassure your wife that the longer time between your erections is not a reflection of how you feel about her. One of the best ways you can take control of this occasional occurrence is to press the end of your penis into her clitoral head while you are thrusting in and out. Make sure you linger in her vaginal entrance, where the most sensitive nerve endings are. So instead of deep ‘gbam’ ‘gbam’ thrusting, just focus on small, shallow thrusting movements that penetrate the first two to three inches of her vagina. This will not only help you to master the ejaculation but will trigger your wife’s arousal even if she has 3rd degree female genital mutilation [circumcision] and she will be 90 per cent of the time have a good orgasm. The trick here is when you help her have an orgasm first, it relieves you of some of the pressure to perform and the psychological anxiety that feeds into premature ejaculation. Wave off an early emission with some extra attention to her arousal because many husbands by this last much longer the second time around. And the more you practise, the longer that first time will last.
One best thing that helps this is to make your wife stay on top always. When she’s on top, your penis is less stimulated, then ask her to go slowly and slowly; long and fast thrusting is hazardous to a man’s endurance. This is because the area of the brain responsible for triggering orgasm is always engaged when having sex, whether you’re trying to have an ejaculation or trying to control ejaculation. Whichever way, just know that the more attention you give it, the more likely it is to arrive. So focus on what’s happening now, your wife’s silky thighs on your hips, or her erected nipple on your breast and before you know it, you’ll diffuse pleasure throughout your whole body instead of premature ejaculation.
Your health plays an important role in how you experience sex. This is because your body is a complex network of systems that must function properly in order for you to live your best. However, three particular systems take centre stage when it comes to keeping pleasure alive and well in the bedroom as you age; they are the nervous system, cardiovascular system and endocrine system. It’s really important for these three systems to work well together in order for a couple to successfully enjoy their sex life.
Getting sexually excited in the first place all starts with one of the most vital parts of a man’s central nervous system, the brain. So the brain is the most important sexual organ that you have (aside from the penis), because you need to be in a good place mentally and emotionally to enjoy the benefits of a healthy sex life. When you neglect a good eating lifestyle, diseases can damage your nerves like diabetes, which can interrupt nerve signals to the penis and lead to erectile dysfunction (ED), with other problems like incontinence of urine which can also damage the nerves.
As arousal works its way from the brain to the rest of the body, a healthy heart and cardiovascular system play another big role in the sex life of a couple. Each of the two helps you maintain an erection. Blood has to flow into your penis when you’re excited, and then back out after you’ve achieved orgasm. More importantly, the same kind of plaque that could clog the arteries and lead to heart attack can also restrict blood flow to the penis, resulting in ED. That’s why a healthy heart is so key to helping a man of any age to avoid below-the-belt problems.
Finally, the endocrine system comes into play via certain hormonal changes in the body. This is where the male hormone, testosterone, is put to the test. A decrease in the testosterone levels is normal as any man gets older but it must not be hampered by sickness, use of substance, pollution and bad eating habit. Because lack of it is a big reason why many men may feel low on energy and drive when it comes to having the kind of sex you would have loved to enjoy.
Yes, he beats me; yet, I love him
She got out of her 1994 Nissan Sentra, hobbling. Some visible, though vanishing bruises around her left eye couldn’t be concealed even with the heavy make-up she had on. She moaned and grimaced a bit as she shook my hands.
“What happened, girl?” I asked her curiously. “Nothing, Fola, nothing”, she said, forcing a smile.
“What do you mean ‘nothing’? You are shuffling and hobbling, and you want me to believe that there is nothing?”
She continued to force a dying smile that revealed a dying spirit and esteem inside of her. She was in pain; more of emotional discomfort than physical. What happened to my friend, I kept asking myself? Was she involved in an automobile accident or in a skiing mishap?
I quit trying to probe her; I felt she needed the privacy.
Four hours went by on that evening shift before she mustered the courage to open up to me.
“It’s my husband, he hit me; he said he was going to kill me. I fought back, but you know him. He is stronger. I am tired, Fola. I am tired of this constant beating…but….”; she shook her head.
“But what”? I asked
“I love him, Fola. I love Andy. Yes, she beats me; but I love him.”
It was in 1996. Nancy and Andy (not their true names) lived in a United States East Coast city. Andy had lived in the US for 10 years and worked in a Group Home for the elderly as a Rehab Assistant. Nancy, a Registered Nurse, joined her husband four years later. They got married in Nigeria during one of Andy’s many visits home combing towns and villages for the “ideal” woman he could call a wife. He insisted that his choice must either be a doctor or a nurse. Why? I don’t know. Maybe, it was just a matter of choice. I have always believed that when you marry, you do so for love. In this dispensation, things have changed, my friends. People get married for different reasons.
According to Nancy, heated arguments began at home a few months after she passed her Nursing Board Examination. Suddenly, the young woman who had no income jumped to making $30 an hour; Andy, who made $7 per hour, controlled family finances for about four years. If Nancy had to purchase even sanitary pads, she had to get a clearance from her husband despite the fact that she brought in more money into the family coffers. When Nancy decided that she had had enough, that was when trouble and heavy physical and emotional abuse began at home from a husband that the wife still insisted she loved.
There are tons of similar stories in the Nigerian community here in the US. In a few cases, some women had been murdered by their abusive husbands. When Babajide Okeowo of Dallas Texas divorced his wife, Funke, the aftermath of the split was too harrowing for Babajide to deal with. The court ordered that Babajide should surrender the home they had bought together to Funke; and the man had to start from the beginning. One day, Babajide took the law into his hands, drove all the way to Dallas and pumped some hot lead into his ex-wife killing her instantly. He believed he was protesting a silent emotional abuse from his wife who was bringing home more money than he did. He is in jail now.
The prelude to untimely spousal death is physical or emotional abuse. What is deemed an abusive relationship in some societies is ideal in others. In some cultures, the wife is a tool that can be used or abused as situations demand; and men are said to have the rights to beat their wives in certain circumstances ranging from refusing sexual intimacy to not adequately completing domestic chores. When these men now find themselves living abroad, they continue with the domineering and controlling lifestyle of gross abuse.
This epidemic is also in the church of the Living God; and it’s not just in the pew, but behind the pulpit also. Dayo and Dupe (not their real names) met in a Christian campus fellowship in a South-West city in Nigeria. During their courtship, Dayo was able to conceal his abusive tendencies from young and vulnerably innocent Dupe. Older people close to the young woman had suspected something strange about Dayo; and some of them attempted to discourage their proposed marriage from taking place. Even Dayo’s mother with wisdom had warned Dupe to think about this important step before jumping in. Don’t mothers know best? And fathers too! But when our children claim they are in love, what can the parents do more than praying for them? Love is blind; but marriage is an alarm clock that will wake a hard-headed child up into reality of life.
Dayo became a pastor, and both eventually got married. He came to the US and later on brought his amiable wife to join him. It was here that the spate of abuses started. Even while pregnant, Pastor Dayo would hit his wife sometimes punching her in the belly. Dupe kept the abuse to herself, but for some of us who have eyes to see, we knew something was amiss. Eventually, the situation boiled over, the US law enforcement got involved, and the two have gone their separate ways today.
All manner of abuses are horrendous, but the most traumatic in my own opinion, is emotional abuse. With this sort of abuse, a lot is bottled up until there is an explosion. Men and women who have exploded in anger that led to disastrous responses had to hold in a lot of traumatising experiences over a long period of time.
What happens to the emotion of a man who, for 20 years built all of his life around a woman who now chose to run around with other men in town? How many men want to see their wives turn into a dumping ground for all manner of men late in the game of life? It is a hurtful experience when a man pays his wife’s way through university and the wife now turns around believing there’s got to be someone out there better than the husband who invested all of his life in her. To the husband, physical abuse is not the answer; just walk away.
If a husband physically abuses his wife, or the wife constantly physically or emotionally traumatises her husband, it is time for both of them to have an emergency family meeting and honestly and sincerely reevaluate the relationship. If not, some day, one of them will be lying lifeless in the morgue and the other one hopeless behind bars. If they have children, the innocent kids will be raised by those who did not christen them and who didn’t know how they came into this world. Somebody had asked me what steps I would advise a woman to take in an abusive relationship. If she were my daughter, I will ask her to immediately leave the lunatic husband; because I did not sign up with God that I will bury my daughter murdered by a mad-dog husband.
What happened to Nancy and Andy? Nancy went back to school and got her Nurse Practitioner degree. Andy was not enthusiastic about academics and said he wanted to “do business”. In any manner of business, is money not required? Nancy took control of her finances, Andy decided to return to Nigeria after serving term in jail for assault and battery. But Nancy remains a one-eyed woman; she lost her left eye during one of their violent fist fights.
