Hon. Kasunmu Wins Multiple Award





                          
For his outstanding performance and commitment to public service and the common good, Chairman, House Committee on Youth, Sports and Social Development, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu was honoured at two different forums at the weekend. First, he was admitted to the Professional membership of the grade of Fellow of the Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management (FIPDM) on Saturday December 5th, 2015 in Lagos in a very colourful ceremony. Presenting the investiture plaque and certificate of Fellowship to the Hon. Kasunmu during the ceremony, IPDM’s Registrar, Mr Victor Oshioluemoh stated that "apart from being a professional member of the institute, the honour was conferred on Hon. Kasunmu as result of his brilliant contributions to the process of lawmaking at the Lagos State House of Assembly as well as his various advocacy activities that have brought smiles to the faces of many." In his response shortly after his induction, Hon. Adedamola Kasunmu expressed his appreciation to the management of the institute and promised to be a worthy ambassador by focusing more on the issues that will make the society better a place through his legislative activities". Also admitted to various categories of Fellowship of the Institute were individuals in management and leadership cadre across the country.The Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management (IPDM) is a professional and educational institute established by Decree 1 of 1990 for the professionalization and advancement of diplomacy in management practices in all sectors of the Nigeria economy by building capacity in managerial and leadership skills through trainings, research, consultancy, publication and other services.The accolades continued the following day, Sunday 6th December, when the highly cerebral legislator was presented with the "Community Friendly Lawmaker Award of the Year 2015" by Ikeja City Awards. The award ceremony took place amidst pomp in Ikeja, Lagos. According to the organisers, Hon. Kasunmu emerged winner of the award among other nominees as a result of his numerous activities within Ikeja Constituency 2 which have made live more meaningful to the constituents. His outstanding performance on the floor of the House was also cited as one of the criteria that qualified him for the award. Among those honoured with other categories of award at the occasion are Mr Nnamdi Ezeigbo, Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Slot Nig. Ltd., who bagged the "Community Friendly CEO of the Year"; Mallam Ahmed Jaji, Executive Secretary, Ojodu LCDA, "Political Leader of the Year" and many others.

Speaking at the event, the Founder/Executive Director of Ikeja City Awards, Mr Sola Olugbemiro, said "the purpose of the award is to identify, recognise and motivate those who are making positive impacts on the lives of people within Ikeja community and beyond and we are convinced beyond doubt that Honouable Kasunmu has very well in this regard".

Speaking at the event, the Founder/Executive Director of Ikeja City Awards, Mr Sola Olugbemiro, said "the purpose of the award is to identify, recognise and motivate those who are making positive impacts on the lives of people within Ikeja community and beyond and we are convinced beyond doubt that Honouable Kasunmu has very well in this regard".

Other awardees include Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Otunba Gani Adams, Mr Tayo Ayeni of Skymit motors among others.
