Atiku's daughter,Fatima, nominated as commissioner in Adamawa
One of the daughters of former Vice President, Fatima Atiku Abubakar has been nominated by Governor Bindow Jibrilla to serve as a Commissioner in Adamawa State.
She was listed as one of the 22 commissioners nominees sent by the Governor to the state House of Assembly on Thursday for screening. Similarly, two associates of the former vice president, Ibrahim Mijinyawa and Umar Daware, made it to the list of those nominated.
This may have shown that the sour relationship between the governor and Atiku has improved as both leaders used to be in different political camps in the build up to the last election.
Also among the commissioners nominated is a former director of press and public affairs to former Governor Murtala Nyako, Ahmed Sajoh, as well as two former commissioners of the Nyako administration, namely, Lilian Kayode, and Mohammad Mustapha.
The list of nominees submitted to the state legislature had four women, whose names were given as: Shanti Victoria Shashi, Kaletapwa Farauta, Fatima Atiku Abubakar and Lilian Nabe Kayode.
