FCMB Joins the International Community to Commemorate World AIDS Day 2014
In line with its value as a helpful Bank and commitment to promote healthy living among people,
First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited
has partnered with Friends Africa on the "Play
for Life Campaign" in commemoration of the World AIDS Day 2014. Ahead
of the World AIDS Day commemoration, the Bank was part of the press
briefing organised by Friends Africa where the activities lined up for
this year were unveiled.
Speaking
at the briefing, FCMB's Head of Communication & CSR, Mrs. Uchenna
Mojekwu, said the Bank's involvement in the campaign against HIV/AIDS is
borne out of the fact
that it cares for the well-being of people and the society. She
reiterated the Bank’s commitment to support all initiatives that will
promote healthy living, while urging people to stop the practice of
stigmitisation and discrimination against people living
with HIV/AIDS.

FCMB Launches MasterCard with Cash Rewards
LAGOS: October 16, 2014. Leading financial services provider,
First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited, has commenced a special offer to
reward customers who use its Debit MasterCard for cash withdrawals, purchases
or online payments within and outside Nigeria, with cash and unique gift items
such as iPad-minis and android phones.
The special incentive, which comes in two categories namely;
Issuance/Activation and Usage and tagged, FCMB MasterCard
Offer, commenced in September and will run till end of October,
2014.
Under the Issuance/activation category, a customer issued an
FCMB MasterCard for the first time receives unique FCMB customised pens and key
rings instantly, upon the activation of the card.
For the Card Usage category, a customer who spends up to
N500,000 (five hundred thousand naira) within Nigeria to effect transactions on
Point of Sales (PoS) or via the internet, gets up to 1.5% cash back on total
spend directly in his or her account. In addition, a total spend of N2, 000,000
(Two Million Naira) and above outside Nigeria on PoS, ATM or the internet, will
be rewarded instantly with gifts such as an iPad-mini, a Microsoft surface, an
android phone, amongst others. The gift reward is contingent on the total
amount spent.
Speaking on the MasterCard offer, the Executive Director,
Service Management and Technology, Mr. Nath Ude, said the FCMB
MasterCard offer is another way FCMB appreciates its customers for embracing
its array of innovative products and services. “We will continue to
demonstrate our commitment in providing customers with easy, convenient and
reliable channels to conduct financial transactions”, Mr. Ude stated.
The bank executive reiterated that the cash and gift rewards
can instantly be redeemed by a customer as soon as he or she meets the local
and/or international financial transactions threshold set according to the
terms of the offer.

Lagos billionaire and Chairman of
Parkview Estate, Ikoyi,Chief Olu Okeowo has just received a baby boy in the
United States of America. His second wife,Lolade Olamide reportedly delivered
the bundle of joy on Monday October 6, in an high brow hospital in Atlanta,
United States of America.The mother and child are said to be in good condition.
Elated Okeowo, has been receiving congratulatory messages from friends and business
associates. Further checks confirmed to us that the baby has since taken place
in the united states as preparation has reached advanced stage for the mother
and child to return into the country. Okeowo,who reportedly lied to many that
is over fifty years old is actually 44

Dr Sid,Osomo savour Honeymoon in Barbados
Newly wedded couple, Dr Sid and wife,Simi Osomo are presently in
Barbados,savouring their marriage bliss. The celebrated couple embarked
on their honey moon trip to the island of Barbados after almost a month
of their high society wedding in Lagos. The couple,it was learnt will
spend few weeks before returning home. Dr Sid,is the son of the late
movie icon,Justus Esiri and notable Nigerian artiste under the
management of Mavin Records. His wife,Osomo,is a lawyer by profession.
FCMB Reward Customers at 30th Anniversary Promo Reloaded
The third monthly draws of the First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited 30th Anniversary Promo Reloaded took place across all the
Bank’s Regional and Zonal operations nationwide on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.
At
the end of the electronic selection of winners exercise, 133 customers
of the Bank smiled home with cash prizes, LCD televisions sets,
generators,
DVDs and GOtv decoders at the event that was witnessed by officials of
Consumer Protection Council (CPC), National Lottery Regulatory
Commission (NLRC) and other dignitaries including community leaders and
government representatives.
