 Nigerian Music star, D’banj, joined other American celebrities to watch the 2014 MTV Video Music Award in Inglewood, California,United States of Asmerica. .

U.S. celebrities included Beyonce, Jay Z, J Lo, Kim Kardashian, Chris Brown and Usher

D’banj, who was a special guest of American Rapper, Dr Dre, at the event, wore a dark suit, bow tie, dark shades and hat.

Meanwhile, American R/B singer, R and B singer, Beyonce Knowles, became the crown queen of the award when she was crowned with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award.

The diva closed the awards show with an epic nearly 20-minute performance. Tears streamed down her face as she was joined on stage by her beaming husband, Jay-Z, and daughter, Blue Ivy, amid the numerous rumours surrounding her marriage.

Beyonce sang and danced in a metallic leotard while Blue Ivy and Jay Z watched from their seats as the diva declared: “MTV, welcome to my world”.

The duo won best collaboration for the hit “Drunk In Love”.

“I have nothing to say but I am filled with so much gratitude,” she told the cheering crowd as they chanted her name repeatedly.

She also won Best Video with a social message for the song: “Pretty Hurts” and Best Cinematography in Pretty Hurts.

Shakira pregnant with second child

 Colombian pop star Shakira is expecting her second child with Spanish footballer Gerard Pique, she said in a recent interview published Thursday.

“The truth is that yes, I’m pregnant,” the multi-Grammy-winning singer told the Latin American edition of Cosmopolitan magazine.

The exclusive interview confirmed rumors that swirled after she performed at the closing ceremony of the World Cup last month with what some viewers said appeared to be a slight curve in her normally flat belly.

Shakira, 37, did not say how far into her pregnancy she was.

Her first son, Milan, is just over a year and a half old.

“Seeing myself in love is a constant state, and there are no questions, the answer is just there… you are the living answer,” she told Cosmopolitan, which put her on the cover of its September issue and entitled the article “The perfect world of the Latin icon.”

Shakira and Pique, 27, met at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and went public with their relationship in early 2011.

Hollywood actor,Robin Williams dies at 63

 
Oscar winning actor and comedian, Robin Williams is dead. The 63 year old veteran Hollywood actor  was found dead in his home in California,United States of America,on early hour of Monday morning. Information conducted by police suspected to have committed suicide. His publicist,however claimed he had been battling with a severe depression for a while before he finally he gave up the ghost.          

An investigation into the cause,manner and circumstances surrounding the death is currently underway by the investigations and Coroner Division of Sherrif's office. Preliminary investigation developed during the investigations indicates Williams was last seen with his wife at his residence at approximately 10 pm on sunday,August 10,2014. His lifeless body was located on Monday morning shortly before the 9 1 1 call was placed to Marin County Communications. At this time,the Sheriff's Coroner Division suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia,but a comprehensive investigations is on going before a final determination is made. A forensic test is scheduled to on Tuesday (today) with subsequent toxicology to be conducted.         
According to his Susan Schneider,"This morning I lost my husband and my best friend,while the world lost one of the its most beloved artistes and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family,we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered,it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death but on the countless moments joy and laughter he gave to millions".

Late Stella Obasanjo Younger brother, Henry Abebe dies

The younger brother of the late First Lady, Chief (Mrs) Stella Obasanjo,Henry Abebe, is dead. Available reports reaching Asa News Online revealed that Abebe died early hour of Friday  August 8,at a private hospital in Abuja,after an unsuccessful battle with liver Cirrhosis. The handsome top businessman and one time Executive  Director at the Nigeria Ports Authority is survived by aged parents,wife,Beatrice Abebe and children.
